What is a plasma cutter and how does it work?
Plasma is the fourth state of matter that is made when electricity from an electrode passes through an orifice that is very small pressurizing the gas and electricity to such a temperature enters a temperature zone of 25,000° to 30,000° and becomes the fourth state of matter plasma. the cutting gas can be air, pure oxygen, or argon/nitrogen.
The orifice is in the nozzle of the plasma cutter once the plasma exits the nozzle it is able to pass through steel and different types of metals. The cutting path passes behind the material and into a water tray, the small particulates are collected inside of the water reducing pollution. The setup we have specifically for a plasma cutting profiling machine, Is a high amperage and definition plasma source. The metalwork piece is set on a grid with the water table underneath. Are profiling machines are designed for structural engineering and manufacturing of components of a sheet of steel.
